Where: Westlake Plaza
When: noon, Tuesday April 29th
Who: You and everyone
(looking for people to join, the more the better, see info below)
Why: It’s International Dance Day - a time to celebrate dance and take it to the streets!
Why #2: Because YOU love to dance even if it is in the privacy of your home.
Why Cell Phones:
Because they have become an integral part of our public and private lives.
Because they connect us and disconnect us.
Because they magnify our best and worst qualities.
Because we keep them on our bodies most of the day.
Because we fear prolonged separation from them.
Because we worry we are overly dependent on them.
Because only those in our own generation use them properly.
Because they are fun and whimsical.
Because they make sounds and play music.
Because they annoy us.
Because they amuse us.
Because we hate them.
Because we love them.
Want to be a part of this public performance/celebration?
It is open to anyone and everyone:
The Dance: Easy enough for anyone to learn! The dance/music score will be 10-15 minutes long. There will be others there to help guide you, as well as, an accompanying music/ sound score. Please try to make at least one of two public rehearsals (see dates below.) If you cannot make these, please take the time to learn the dance/ score via our YouTube video, which will be posted on April 20th.
The Music/Sound: Created by musician/ composer, James Whetzel, in conjunction with dance artist, Liz Erber
Public Rehearsals: Sunday April 20th, 1-2pm in Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill; and Sunday April 27th, 1-2pm, same location
CONTACT: Please contact Liz Erber if interested in participating. (If you would like to become MORE involved, just ask - there is a lot of potential here: from being someone who acts as a leader during the celebration to someone who gathers more individuals for the event to someone who adds on his/her own public dance) Email: Lerber@gmail.com

I tried searching for the video on YouTube to see the routine, but couldn’t find it. What should I be searching for? Or has it not been uploaded yet?
Cool idea!
